Ancient Nutrition owns and operates over 4,000 acres of Regenerative Organic Certified® farmland in Tennessee and Missouri and dedicates 1% of the company’s annual revenue to the R.A.N.C.H project (Regenerative Agriculture, Nutrition, Climate Health.) 

In 2022, Ancient Nutrition entered a partnership with the Rodale Institute, a global leader of organic and regenerative movements. Together, we’ve embarked on a 14-year project to revolutionize environmental regeneration and healthy food production, focusing on removing atmospheric carbon through soil sequestration, and practices like low-till farming, natural grazing, cover crops, and crop rotation. These practices don’t just help to slow climate change; they actively work to reverse it, replenishing critical topsoil, and healing the planet. 

In early September, Ancient Nutrition hosted INFRA Category Managers Lauren Bartel and Kate Fletcher along with several INFRA Retailers at our Center for Regenerative Agriculture in Summertown, TN. The INFRA team had a great time seeing first-hand the soil building practices that are unique to our Regenerative Organic Certified® farm including our Rotational Grazing Program, Feed & Seed Food Waste Reclamation Program and Regenerative Food Forest.

October marked the groundbreaking launch of Ancient Nutrition’s Regenerative Organic Certified® Probiotic and Herbal products. This is the first supplement line to achieve ROC® and features unprecedented vertical integration with 95% of active ingredients sourced from our own farms in TN and MO. 

Jordan Rubin highlights the significance of ROC™ certification:

It has been an incredible year for Ancient Nutrition’s partnership with INFRA. Our Multi Collagen Protein is the number one selling supplement in the natural channel, and Ancient Nutrition has driven the greatest dollar growth in the supplement space for INFRA stores (Source: SPINS ending 9/10/23 L4wks). Our October campaign partnership saw incredible displays built in INFRA stores across the country, including this exceptional endcap from INFRA Member The Sunflower Shoppe (pictured below). Ancient Nutrition was also incredibly honored to accept the 2023 INFRA Brix Award for Sustainability Stewardship Award at the INFRA Annual Conference in June. 

According to a recent New Hope Network consumer survey, 44% of consumers have never heard of regenerative agriculture and 38% have heard of it, but don’t know what it means. As retailers dedicated to shopper education, we believe INFRA stores can lead the charge in expanding the understanding of how Regenerative Organic Certified® purchases directly support improved soil health, animal welfare, and living wages for farmers.
