INFRA's Top 5 Wellness Trends for 2026

By Madeleine Ware posted 12 hours ago

In recent years, wellness trends have been defined by hyper-personalization, an increased interest in clean label ingredients and transparency, and a focus on holistic whole-body health. As we move into 2026, INFRA is excited to partner with leading retail data provider SPINS to share our top 5 wellness trends for the year ahead. From stress management to performance nutrition to GLP-1 support—read on to learn how we expect the trends of recent years to evolve to meet a new moment in wellness.

Solving for Stress & Mood Management

Stress and mood management continue to be top of mind for many shoppers. Expect to see ingredients like magnesium (+17.6%), saffron (+89.1%), ashwagandha (+5.7%), and L-theanine (+17.6%) make their way into functional beverages, chews, and powders as more customers seek their next calm.

Boosting Brain Health

Brain health has also taken center stage, and not just for aging customers. A new wave of shoppers is seeking products with ingredients such as Omega-3s (+2.2%), plant-based DHA (+4.8%), and lions' mane mushrooms (+10.4%) for improved focus at work or school. Creatine has also broken out of its historic role in performance nutrition as an attractive option for improved memory and focus.

Performance Nutrition

As fitness and lifestyle trends have shifted towards a more holistic approach to health, performance nutrition has become a growing category for health-conscious shoppers looking to fuel their workouts. Creatine (+92.7%) and collagen (+12.0%) stand out in this category, as frequent additions to powders, gummies, and chews.

Gendered Health Solutions

Today’s shoppers are more educated than ever on how gender can affect health throughout all life stages—from gut-brain health to hormone balance to fertility and menopause. The burgeoning women’s health category is being matched by growing interest in men’s health as well, as more men look for prostate support, workout solutions, and more.

GLP-1 Support

As more research comes out on the potential drawbacks of GLP-1s, supplements arise as a possible way for users to protect their bone health, promote healthy skin and hair, and lessen gastrointestinal symptoms. Ingredients like collagen (+12.0%) and biotin (+13.9%) continue to support skin elasticity while inositol (+1.5%), probiotics (+7.3%), and amino acids (+52.5%) help to support a healthy gut.

Leveraging Wellness Trends in the New Year

From brain health to performance nutrition, independent retailers are uniquely positioned to guide shoppers toward trusted, effective solutions. As we move into 2026, it’s clear that many wellness-focused trends are here to stay. By meeting customers in the aisle, listening to their needs, and understanding their individual goals, independent retailers can offer support that goes far beyond any individual transaction.
