Jared has been with INFRA for almost two years, initially handling categories in the center store refrigerated and frozen section. Now, he oversees all fresh categories. Jared has been introducing INFRA members to a whole new array of exciting and delectable fresh products, which has the entire Purchasing Team equally excited!
The Coconut Cult Yogurt: A delicious, fermented coconut yogurt full of healthy probiotics that come in an array of unique flavors: strawberry, orange dreamsicle and, my favorite, banana cream pie! This dairy free yogurt also packs a punch! Because of the concentrated number of probiotics, the product serving is only one ounce; leaving you with more to enjoy throughout the week.
Little Sesame Hummus: This hummus is a wonderful creamy treat. Made with organic chickpeas, Little Sesame hummus comes in a variety of flavors like caramelized onion and preserved lemon – using upcycled lemons! Goes excellent alongside tinned fish or on a fresh salad. Little Sesame is a fun infusion to the ever-changing condiments, dips, and hummus category.
Painterland Sisters Skyr Yogurt: Organic, women-owned, regenerative farming practices, skyr style yogurt with 6% milk fat locally sourced from Pennsylvania farms – what’s not to love?! Painterland Sisters prides themselves on connecting consumers with dairy farmers and providing education on the benefits of regenerative farming practices. They put a fresh take on the yogurt category!
Force of Nature Meatballs: Pre-cooked, and ready to heat, these meatballs are great for a meal or snack on the run. Force of Nature offers three different style meatballs – Classic, Italian, and Homestyle – all made with grass-fed proteins raised on regenerative pastures. These products are enhanced with an all-organic spice blend and are sugar free, gluten free, egg free, and soy free. These meatballs are superior tasting!
Laura Chenel Goat Cheese: Based out of Sonoma County, Laura Chenel goat cheeses are crafted with fresh goat milk from family-owned farms in California, Oregon, Nevada and Idaho. These award-winning cheeses are versatile – perfect for a charcuterie board, adding to grilled cheese, or just light snacking!
Brands that Jared is excited about outside of his fresh categories:
Hiyo Beverages: More and more people are choosing to abstain from alcohol, either temporarily or for good. There have been vast improvements in the taste and quality of non-alcoholic beverages over the past few years, and Hiyo fits this niche perfectly. The brand focuses on adaptogens and nootropics in their products, said to reduce stress and boost overall mood. I can’t be sure if that is the case, but they taste great and offer a nice alternative drink to a typical social setting. Try the blackberry lemon!
Jared's brand selections highlight several key trends: innovative non-alcoholic beverages, a focus on international foods and global flavors, crave-worthy snacking options, and a commitment to regenerative practices.
